I can’t talk about what it’s like to be Big In Japan, or Hollywood (well soon, I hope) but I can talk about being Big In Turkey.
It’s nice, it’s cosy.  Especially when there’s efficient crowd control.

To really show what it’s like, below is an album from a visit to Iznik (ancient Nicaea) in response to an invitation by the Mayor. Everything works out fine if you keep a smile on, be patient, and know when to stop and give photo ops, and when it’s time to duck out. Best thing to do is to follow your handler’s cue, he has the big picture and he’ll know when the crowd’s getting too thick and you need to keep moving.

I keep myself open to receive the attention, nothing wrong with that.  But I don’t take it too personally, it’s not really about me. It’s about a character that’s on tv a certain night of the week, every week. Keep your head on straight.
